The Russian destroyed Dutch number 1 Van De Zandschulp in less than hour and a half
Russian sixth seed Daniil Medvedev stormed into the quarter-finals of the 2023 Rotterdam Open in smashing style on Thursday, easing past Dutch Botic Van De Zandschulp 6-2 6-2.
The world number 11 needed one hour and 26 minutes to progress to the last eight.
The 6’6″ Medvedev won 11 of 16 second-serve points and played cleaner tennis throughout while the Dutch number 1 committed 28 unforced errors—16 more than the Russian.
The 2021 US Open champion Medvedev will face defending-champion Felix Auger-Aliassime in tomorrow’s querter-final.
