USWNT forward Megan Rapinoe shared today that she will end her professional football career after the end of the current season.
Two-time FIFA World Cup champion Megan Rapinoe will retire at the end of the 2023 NWSL season, she announced.
Rapinoe has been with the Reign since the NWSL’s first season in 2013.

Rapinoe will participate in her final regular-campaign game at Seattle’s Lumen Field on October 6th vs. the Washington Spirit.
Megan (38) will be part of the United States national women’s soccer team n the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which will start on July 20th and finish on August 20th – it will take place in Australia and New Zealand.
It will be the final time that we will see her at the World Cup.
“I’ve been able to have such an amazing career, and soccer has brought me all over the world and helped me to meet so many wonderful people,” the veteran soccer player shared with U.S. Soccer.
