Messi helps Miami to eliminate Dallas in the League Cup

Leo Messi netted a pair of fantastic goals to secure Inter Miami CF’s comeback victory against FC Dallas in the Leagues Cup in Frisco, Texas.

Lionel netted Inter’s 1^st and last goals in a phenomenal game that ended 4-4 in the regular time before scoring his penalty in the shootout and helping his side to advance to the ¼ finals.

The Argentinian World Cup winner’s 1^st goal outside of Florida for Miami came again after a left-footed strike outside the penalty area in the 6^th minute as the assist gave his ex-Barcelona teammate Jordi Alba.

Leo netted in all 4 matches that he played for Inter, as he has scored 7 goals.

Dallas had a 4-2 lead after Robert Taylor’s own goal in the 68^th minute, but the side from Texas also gave an own goal in the 80^th minute when Marco Farfan headed the ball to his own net from Messi’s freekick.

The superstar from Argentina netted the 1^st penalty in the shootout as the deciding penalty for Inter scored Benjamin Cremaschi, who also netted in the 65^th minute.
