Lionel Messi surpassed the 100 international goal mark as he scored a hat-trick in Argentina’s 7-0 thrashing over minnows Curacao.
The 35-year old reached the landmark when he opened the scoring and with his two other goals he now has 102 to his name.
The little Argentinian finds himself in a habit of setting new records of late, as his tremendous free-kick against last-match opponents Panama was his 800th career goal and 99th for Argentina.
In the game against Curacao Messi didn’t wait long as he was able to complete his hat-trick before the half-time whistle and, on top of that, he even registered an assist.
The PSG striker extends his lead in Agrentina’s all-time goalscoring chart with 102, with Gabriel Batistuta a distant second with 56 goals.
Messi sits third in the men’s all-time international goal-scoring list behind Cristiano Ronaldo (122) in first and Iran’s Alli Daei.
