Messi scores twice in his 1st Inter Miami start

Leo Messi had a fantastic first match from the first minute on the pitch as he netted twice and gave an assist in his team’s 4-0 victory against Atlanta United. The other new signing  Sergio Busquets also started the clash.

The Argentinian superstar scored the 1^st goal in the 8^th minute at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, after his ex-Barcelona teammate Busquets gave him a perfect pass. At first, Leo missed, but he scored the rebound.

Leo netted his 2^nd goal in a counterattack in the 22^nd minute as the home side had a 3-0 lead at halftime after Robert Taylor netted a 3^rd goal before the end of the 1^st 45 minutes.

Taylor also netted the 4^th goal after Leo Messi’s assist as the Argentinian played 78 minutes before being substituted.

Atalanta is the 100^th side that Leo has netted against.
