Leo Messi ended his final game of 2023 with a groin problem that forced him to leave the pitch in the 78^th minute and be replaced in his nation’s 1-0 victory against Brazil at Maracana.

“I felt pain in my adductor,” Messi shared. “It was my last match of 2023, so I have time to recover and next year to give again my best each match.”

The Inter Miami superstar received treatment on the touchline in the 1^st half and looked not in his best shape.

The Argentinian captain added that an almost 30-minute delay to begin the match after what happened in the stands contributed to his problem.

“It didn’t give me any good to cool down and go inside the locker room and then to return on the pitch,” Leo claimed.
