The Heat star shared that he was fueled.

All his life, Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler overcame people who dishonored him, and it is no surprise to anyone who knows him that in his team victory against the Boston Celtics in Game 2 of the East finals, Jimmy made Grant Williams for talking trash to him.

The incident happened in the 4th quarter after Grant notched from the 3-point line to give his franchise a 96-87 lead with less than 7 minutes left till the end of the game. After that, Williams talked trash to Butler, who only smiled and scored his next shot as Grant fouled him and the Heat’s player made a three-point play.

Butler claimed that the exchange fueled him.

“Yes, it did,” Jimmy shared. “But that’s just rivalry at its finest. He notched an important shot and started talking to me. I admire that. I’m OK with that. It makes me play even better. It drives me to want the victory a lot more. It makes me smirk.”
