Michael Del Zotto has announced that he is officially retiring from professional hockey.

Del Zotto has 13 NHL seasons behind his back, notching 736 games in total, scoring 63 goals and adding 199 assists for 262 points.
He has also featured in the playoff games, making 32 appearances, putting up 12 points.
The 33-year-old spent last season outside the NHL in Charlotte Checkers and San Diego Gulls, where he had 41 points in 65 games.
“The blood, sweat, tears, broken bones, triumph, heartbreak and sacrifice were worth every second,” he in an Instagram post. “So were the many amazing relationships I made along the way.”
Del Zotto moves on with the next chapter of his life, where he will spend more time with his family and have the opportunity to commit to real estate agent.
