Michigan St. named their new head coach.

Michigan State announced the appointment of new manager Jonathan Smith, who comes from Oregon State, moments after both schools ended their regular campaigns.

Jonathan ended his campaign yesterday as No. 16 Oregon State lost from Oregon 31-7 away from home, dropping to 8-4 on the campaign. The manager met with his former school this morning to tell them he decided to take a different career path and join Michigan State.

“As I begin my new chapter of my head coaching career, I want to share my gratitude to all the players, managers, and colleagues I have worked with over the last 6 seasons,” Smith announced today after the news of his new job. “I will always remember my time at Michigan State, and the friendships I made here will last a lifetime. I also wanted to acknowledge my gratitude to the people of OSU/Corvallis for always having our backs.”
