Antonio Conte's men looked all set to take the 3 points, before late Southampton surge stopped them in their tracks

Tottenham Hotspur suffer another low-point in a season full of disappointments, as they allow Saouthampton to snatch away a late point at St. Marry’s Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

It was an enthrilling encounter with both sides scoring three and the Saints equalising right at the dead with injury-time penalty.

Pedro Porro opened the scoring right on the cusp of half-time with the Spaniard hammering an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net.

The Saints were quick to react with Che Adams levelling the score just 47 seconds into the second half.

Spurs pulled their act together and in the next couple of minutes dictated the game with Harry Kane’s 65th minute header and Ivan Perisic ellegant finish giving them 3-1 lead in the 74th minute.

It looked like the London team was striding to a comfortable victory. But it wasn’t to be as proven by Southampton’s persistence as they broght one back almost immediately through Theo Walcott strike.

James Ward-Prouse completed the comeback with a penalty-kick in stoppage time.

Southampton still find themselves in last place, but with inspired performances against two top-tier teams (Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur) the Saints’ hopes of survival look bright.

As for Tottenham this was another disappointing weekend with them missing out on a chance to leapfrog Manchester United in 3rd with the Red Devils occupied with FA Cup duties.
