Monza handed AC Milan their first defeat in 11 games, beating them 4-2 in dramatic local derby in Lombardia.
The Rossoneri played with 10 men the whole second half, but managed to pull two goals back to make it 2-2 in the dying minutes before Monza scored another brace to wrap up the win.
Despite playing the better first 40 minutes, Milan made a crucial mistake in the 45th minute through Thiaw, who conceded a penalty, which Pessina scored. Just three minutes later Mota received the ball in a counter attack and sent the ball into the net for 2-0.
After the break Jovic was sent off with a red card for unsportsman conduct and it looked liked Milan could not get anything from the game. Giroud, though, pulled one back and in the 88th minute Pulisic equalized, giving the visitors a lifeline.
It didn’t last long, though as in the 90th Monza conceded a third and Colombo scored in stoppage time for 4-2. After the defeat, Milan stays third in Serie A two points away from Juventus.
