Jose Mourinho will be punished for his language against the match’s referee, UEFA announced today, after the Wolves head coach was filmed using abusive language after his team’s defeat to Sevilla in the Europa League final.

After the final, the Portuguese manager was unhappy and shared, “It was an intense, masculine, vibrant match with an official who seemed to support Sevilla. It was a card, card, card during the whole game.”
Anthony Taylor denied a clear penalty for AS Roma and was integral to the Spanish team’s victory in the final.
Mourinho lost for the 1st time in his career European final as he won the previous six, but the English referee definitely helped Jose’s streak to end.
