A goal in the last possible moment from Stephan El Shaarawy secured the victory for the Wolves versus Monza, who were down to 10 players after Danilo D’Ambrosio was sent off after 2 yellow cards in the 1st half.
Jose made a gesture towards the away’s side coaching staff after his team took the lead and received a red card from the official.
“I don’t understand why I was sent off, I only made a gesture to the bench, I didn’t say anything,” Mourinho admitted.
“The Monza bench put a lot of pressure on the officials; they shouldn’t have behaved that way.”
Mourinho will not be on the bench for his club’s next fixture in Serie A against his ex-side Inter in Milano.
