The Belgium international joined the Wolves on a campaign-long loan from the Blues during the summer transfer window.
Romelu (30) re-signed with Chelsea for 110 million dollars in 2021, but his 2nd spell with the London side was unsuccessful, and he is also not part of new boss Mauricio Pochettino’s plans.
“Lukaku needs to feel loved and wanted,” shared after the win Roma’s manager.
Mourinho worked with Belgium in 2 clubs before he joined the Wolves – Chelsea and Man. United added: “When he landed in Rome, he could sense the club needed a player like him.
“Lukaku likes to triumph – that’s in his nature. I think he’s in high spirits right now.”
