Against the shorthanded Utah Jazz, Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic led the charge for the Denver Nuggets, securing a convincing 111-95 victory on Tuesday night.
Murray, who recently came back from a knee injury, showcased his form with 28 points, while Jokic dominated both ends of the court with the same point tally and 13 rebounds.
After missing seven games due to his injury, Murray has been gradually regaining his form, notably dunking a career-high five times in the first half against the Jazz and contributing four steals to the victory.
On the opposing side, Talen Horton-Tucker led the scoring for Utah with 24 points, supported by Omer Yurtseven’s season-high 20 points and Luka Samanic’s season-best 15 points. However, the Jazz struggled to keep pace with the Nuggets, suffering their 13th consecutive loss.
Despite Horton-Tucker’s strong performance, the Jazz faltered in the fourth quarter as the Nuggets tightened their defense, limiting Utah’s scoring opportunities.
With the win, the Nuggets have now won four of their last five games and are eyeing the top seed in the Western Conference playoffs. Denver displayed dominance from the opening tip, establishing a commanding 19-point lead in the first quarter.
