Denver are now 19-1 in their last 20 home games and moved into a tie with the Boston Celtics for the best record in the NBA at 37-16

Jamal Murray finished with a season-high 41 points and seven assists and the Denver Nuggets, the best team in the Western Conference, won their third straight game, beating the Atlanta Hawks 128-108 on Saturday night.

Nikola Jokic had his 18th triple-double of the season – 14 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists, for the Nuggets, who are 19-1 in their last 20 home games and moved into a tie with the Boston Celtics for the best record in the NBA at 37-16.

Jokic also recorded the 94th regular-season triple-double of his career.

With the Nuggets’ success, Murray said Denver has to be ready to deal with the best effort from opposing teams on a nightly basis.

“We can’t underestimate any team. We’ve got to come prepared. We’ve got a target on our backs,” Murray said. “We’ve seen that, even today. They stuck in it for a while. We just had to lock in and we did that.”

He set the new season high on 24 shots, hitting stepback threes, side-step threes, contested floaters, and capped off the evening with a contested dunk in transition.

Dejounte Murray scored 28 points to lead the Hawks. De’Andre Hunter added 20 points.

Hawks visit New Orleans on Tuesday to cap a five-game trip while the Nuggets travel to Minnesota on Sunday night for the second in a back-to-back set.
