Andy Murray will make a return to world top 50 after victory over Harold Mayot saw him reach the final of the ATP Challenger event in Aix-en-Provence.
Murray was knocked out in the first round of Madrid Open, but took on the opportunity to participate in second-tier tournament through wildcard and has taken full advantage of it.
The 35-year old has registered 4 wins in a row, which will see him jump the 52nd spot he is currently occupying.
It is Murray’s second final of the year after facing Daniil Medvedev earlier this year at the ATP in Doha in February, where he lost.
Murray hasn’t won a major trophy since 2019 and a win at the Challanger final would see him climb up to almost top 40, which would boost his chances of being seeded for the Wimbledon.
