The last time these 2 clubs met in Naples, Partenopei destroyed the Old Lady 5-1, and they won 1st Scudetto in 33 years.
The home side secured the lead near the end of the 1st half when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored in the 42nd minute after a fantastic volley inside the box.
However, near the end, Federico Chiesa scored in the 81st minute to tie the result after an assist from Carlos Alcaraz.
In the 87th minute, Napoli were given penalty for a foul against Victor Osimhen and the Nigerian forward decided to took the penalty himself. That was the 1st penalty against the Old Lady since the beginning of the season.
Osimhen missed the penalty, but Giacomo Raspadori was the fastest to the rebound, and he scored to give Partenopei the lead again in the 88th minute.
Juve had a fantastic chance to score in the extra time, but Daniele Rugani missed it.
Napoli moved to the 7th place in Serie A after today’s win, while Juve are only 1 point ahead of Milan for the 2nd place after the defeat.
