Nashville SC defeated Atlanta United 3-1 in the first 10 round game of MLS season in the Eastern Conference.
With the three points the home side climbed to fourth place in the standings with 15 points – three away from Atlanta, who are sitting third. That was only the second defeat for United this season, while Nashville is 4-3-3 so far.
Fafa Picault opened the scoring in the 36 minute and just ten minutes after the break Teal Bunbury doubled their lead.

Thiago Almada pulled one back for the away side from penalty in the 72 minute, but everything came to an end in the injury time when Jacob Shaffelburg scored the third goal for Nashville.
