Follow usThe New England Revolution have re-signed Ghana-native winger Emmanuel Boateng through the 2023 season as the deal includes an option for 2024, the MLS club announced on Friday.
The 29-year-old Boateng was a free agent after spending the last two seasons with New England, tallying scoring four goals and seven assists in 39 matches (12 starts) for the club.
“We are pleased to have Ema re-sign with the Revolution,” sporting director and head coach Bruce Arena said.
“Ema has been a great contributor to our team both on and off the field, and I’m excited to have him return to our club.”
Boateng gives New England plenty of options out wide as they chase а place in the MLS Cup Playoffs in 2023. The club also has Dylan Borrero, Nacho Gil, Damian Rivera and Esmir Bajraktarevic.
