Further tests today revealed that the NE Patriots’ leading receiver, Kendrick Bourne, tore his right ACL.
The torn ACL ends the player’s 7th campaign in the league, which was on pace to be his greatest, as he will be out of action for 6 up to 8 months.

Bourne suffered the problem on the 1st play of the 4th quarter in his team’s 31-17 defeat against the Miami Dolphins when he caught a pass and was tackled by CB Eli Apple. The receiver remained on the field as he was visible in a lot of pain.
Kendrick entered Week 8, rated 11th in the league’s new receiver tracking metrics, and has totaled a franchise-high 37 receptions for 406 yards and 4 TDs through 8 matches. Bourne has played almost ¾ of the offensive snaps in the current campaign.
