The Germans have already supplied the English team’s kits in the period 1995-2010. They were replaced by Puma, before Castore took over in 2021.
The deal was meant to be announced on September 1, but leaked footage of the club’s Amazon Primer documentary gave intel into the ongoing situation.
Newcastle’s current deal with Castore is due to run beyond the end of this season, meaning it is likely to be cut short in order to make way for Adidas.
The Magpies are having a decent start to the new campaign as they thrashed Aston Vila 5-1 in the opening round and lost 1-0 to Manchester City on Saturday night as they aim to retain their Champions League spot they earned last campaign.
