According to Joe Seward, the 2024 Formula 1 season could start with two consecutive Saturday races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. This will be done so that both Grand Prix events in the Middle East can take place before the start of Ramadan, which next year will begin on March 10 (Sunday).
According to Seward, the first start of the year will be once again in Bahrain, but not on Sunday (March 3) but a day earlier. A week later, the start in Jeddah will also take place, thus both races will be held before the start of Ramadan, which will last until April 8, during which there can be no races in the Arab world.
Formula 1 will also have one Saturday race this year, which will be the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The start in Sin City will be on Saturday as it will be at night and thus more convenient for fans in Europe to watch.
