NFL matches on Christmas Day remain the gifts that keep on giving for the organization, and that will continue in the upcoming season with 2 games despite the holiday falling on a Wednesday.
Nearly every day from December 20th-New Year's Day will now feature a College Football Playoff game, an NFL game, or both:
Dec. 20: CFP game
Dec. 21: Three CFP games, NFL games
Dec. 22: NFL games
Dec. 23: Monday Night Football

Matchups for the matches, which will feature franchises that compete on the previous Saturday to give enough time for the players to rest, are not announced yet.
“When we look at the ratings from this past campaign, really our supporters spoke,” the league executive vice president of media distribution shared. “That leaves no doubt that they are very much enjoying and wanting to watch National Football League matches on Christmas.”
The league played 3 matches on Christmas Day in the past year, as the Ravens, 49ers, Giants, Eagles, Raiders, and Chiefs all competed on Monday.
The Christmas Day matches were among the most-watched games in the league in the past season, as Baltimore against San Francisco got over 27 million viewers, making it the 2nd most-watched “MNF” match since 1996.
