The confirmation for the undisputed heavyweight title clash between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury is finally official and is set for late this year or early next year.
On October 28, former UFC champion Francis Ngannou will take on WBC champion Fury in a 10-round bout in Riyadh. Although few outside his team are predicting it, a win for Ngannou would certainly dash Fury’s hopes of challenging Usyk for all four belts.
That’s the thinking behind Ngannou’s recent tweet, which questioned how long a boxer should be out of the ring after a knockout loss.
“I don’t know what the minimum period of medical suspension is in boxing, but I really don’t understand how Tyson can fight in December after what happened on October 28,” wrote the Cameroonian.

Ngannou is well known for his deadly punch and is now trained by Mike Tyson. If the two can pull off something spectacular and get Ngannou close enough to Fury to land one of his heavy punches, the first undisputed fight in 24 years could go down.
