Francis Ngannou (17-3) is sure that will not be an easy target for Tyson Fury.
The former UFC heavyweight champion spoke to TMZ Sports about his upcoming boxing match with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs). The clash will take place on October 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
“Fury needs to get ready for October 28th because if he doesn’t take it seriously I think he could be surprised and regret it for the rest of his life. This is my moment, this is my life, this is what I’ve been waiting for. This is the boxing dream I have had since I was a child.”
The Cameroonian added that he plans to keep the same coaching staff in preparation for the Gypsy King match as he has for his MMA fights, but will also seek help from specialists outside the gym where he usually conducts his training camps – Xtreme Couture .
“I have knockout power, but it would be crazy to rely on knockout power alone. I’m going there to box. I’m going into this fight as a boxer. I’m surprised people are writing me off. That’s another thing doubt me. Maybe I’ll continue to prove them wrong about that because I come out as a boxer. I don’t come out just to show that I have a hard punch. Yeah, I can knock him out. But they’re also preparing in case this fight goes to a referee’s decision.
