This follows Pro Ref’s admission of an “error of judgment” in awarding Erling Haaland’s winning goal for the Sky Blues against the Red Devils yesterday.
The Norwegian goal scorer netted in the 60th minute at Old Trafford after Josko Gvardiol’s assist.
However, the goal was initially disallowed for offside, but after VAR review, it was awarded after Patrick Dorgu was ruled to have played onside.
The big problem is that the goal should have been disallowed because Manchester City’s newest transfer, Enzo Fernandez, was in an offside position and interfered with play as he tried to score before the ball reached Erling, and he did.
