“Nobody can be compared to Maradona,” says Napoli star

Napoli’s Georgia international Khvicha Kvaratskhelia says he’s ‘happy and proud’ when fans compare him to Diego Armando Maradona but admitted that nobody can be compared to the Argentinian soccer icon.

The Italian club fans are so in love with him that somebody has compared the 21-year-old sensation to club legend Maradona, calling him ‘Kvaradona.’

“Nobody can be compared to Maradona, a legend of football,” said Kvaratskhelia, who joined the Partenopei last summer.

“It will be very difficult to see another player like him.

“Of course, I am happy and proud when I am compared to him, it means a lot to me and makes me feel the responsibility.”

The Georgian, who arrived in Napoli for just 10 million euros, scored 11 goals in 12 league matches this season.
