The Serbian had 6 break point opportunities, and he converted only 1, but it was enough to win the 1st set as his Australian opponent had 3 break opportunities, but Nole saved them all.
After the 1st set, Djokovic took a medical timeout as he was not at his best. The 2nd set began very strangely as the Serbian won his serve to make it 1-0, and after that, we saw 6 straight games where the player who served lost and De Minaur tied 4-4. The Australian was serving to force a tiebreak, but Nole made a crucial break to win the set and the match in straight sets and to be among the best 4 players in Monte Carlo as he will face Humbert or Rude at the semifinals.
