Lando with a vital victory in Austria ahead of his teammate.

Lando Norris secured a very important win at the Austrian GP after overcoming teammate and title rival Oscar Piastri.

Lando held Oscar at bay in a thrilling 20-lap fight at the beginning of the race and then also did it in the last laps to triumph at the Austrian Grand Prix.

It came 14 days after his collision with Oscar at the Canadian GP, and now the Australian’s lead is cut to 15 points from 22 points.

Reigning champ Max Verstappen was forced out of the competition after the Dutchman was speared off the road by Kimi Antonelli at the opening Lap, despite the fact that McLaren was in a class of its own during the past few days.

Charles Leclerc finished in the top 3 of the race as his Ferrari teammate Lewis Hamilton finished 4th. The 5th place in Austria was for George Russell from Mercedes.

Liam Lawson from Racing Bulls finished 6th, which was his career-best finish in Formula 1.

The experienced Fernando Alonso secured the 7th position after choosing a strategy with only 1 pit stop that was successful in the end for him.
