He swiftly became 1 of the NBA’s premier scorers, averaging 21 points per game in his debut campaign. Anthony would go average almost 25 points over 8 years and 564 matches for Denver, which featured a West Conference final defeat to the Lakers during the 2008-09.
In 2011, Carmelo was traded to the NY Knicks as part of a blockbuster 3-team deal, as he returned to the East, where he was born. Anthony led the league in scoring in 2013, but could not lead New York beyond the 2nd round of the postseason that campaign.
He also averaged almost 25 points in 412 matches for the NBA franchise from the Big Apple.
Antony played for the Lakers in his final campaign in the league in 2021-22.
