Nikola Jokic was the highest scoring player for Denver as he bagged home 31 points with 11 assists. Jamal Murray finished the game with 26 points and nine assists.
It was a pretty even game up until the third quarter, when the Bucks were slightly in front 66-63. However, a strong showing by the Denver team, which saw them outscore their opponent 34-19 in the third quarter turned the match around.
“I think always credit to their defense, credit to them, their activity I think was good,” Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer said.
“I think we just felt like maybe we’ve gotta move it a little bit more, move people more, better spacing. And I think we had some shots that you gotta make.”
“Credit to Denver. They played well in the third quarter, fourth quarter. They just had us in the second half. We can better.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo starred for Milwaukee as he scored 31 points and had nine rebounds. Only seven of his 31 points came in the second half underlining just how inferior to the Nuggets they were in the second part of the match.
