Denver Nuggets leader Nikola Jokic is planning to return today vs. the Los Angeles Clippers after being out since the end of December with a knee injury.
The Serbian superstar is also set to be on the court at the weekend’s showdown vs. the OKC at home and be eligible for campaign awards such as Most Valuable Player and All-NBA.
Jokic sustained his injury in the 1st half of the Nuggets’ defeat against the Heat on December 29th. Before that, Nikola was ranked 5th in the league in scoring, almost 30 points per match. The Serbian also has 16 triple-doubles in the current campaign, which is the most in the league.
The Nuggets superstar is also averaging career highs in APG (11.0) and the 3-point percentage (43%).
Denver’s record without Nikola is 10-6 over the past 30 days. Those 16 matches are the most that Jokic has ever missed in any campaign during his career in the NBA.
