Detroit will also get a 2025 7th-round selection in the exchange, while the NFL franchise from the Big Apple will receive a 2025 conditional 6th-round selection.
Denzel, a 2nd round selection in 2020, was told earlier that he would be waived if the organization can’t trade him.
Mims was excused from the beginning of the franchise preparation for the upcoming season and was not with his teammates at the training camp. It was very likely that the wide receiver would leave the Jets in the offseason because he didn’t score a touchdown in his 3 campaigns with the team in the NFL.
Denzel was 5th or even 6th option receiver in the franchise, and he didn’t appear on special teams, as that made him not wanted by New York.
