The winger signed a team-record 92 million-dollar contract.

William Nylander will remain where he is.

The Toronto Maple Leafs shared today an 8-year, 92-million-dollar deal extension with their best player. The contract, which features a full no-movement clause for its duration, begins in the next campaign and will keep the winger with the franchise through 2032. That is the richest total value contract the Maple Leafs have ever offered to a player.

William (27) was selected 8th overall by Toronto in 2014 and has notched 198 goals and earned 484 points through 558 National Hockey League matches until now. This campaign has been among the winger’s best, featuring an organization-record 17-match point streak to begin the campaign, in which the winger notched 12 goals and earned 27 points.

Nylander is currently 5th in the league, scoring 21 goals and 54 points in 37 matches.

Toronto GM Brad Treliving will reveal more details about the historic contract later today.
