Spanish media claims Osimhen’s goal should’ve been ruled out

The Nigerian travelled to Morocco to collect his prize just before the Champions League game on Tuesday night.

Osimhen was instrument in Napoli’s championship winning year, helping them lift the title for the first time in 33 years.

Nigeria completed a double victory as Asisat Oshoala won the best women’s player honor for a record sixth time.

“I appreciate Africa for putting me on the map, for encouraging me, for defending me regardless of my shortcomings,” the 24-year-old Osimhen said in his acceptance speech.

Osimhen bagged 26 goals for Napoli last season to inspire them to glorious title.
