Michael Owen has no doubt that Trent Alexander-Arnold will leave Liverpool to join Real Madrid, sharing that “secretive discussions will have taken place.”
Owen thinks that it is almost certain that Alexander-Arnold will join Los Blancos instead of inking a new deal with the Reds. Michael revealed that the full-back had already held “secretive talks” with Real, which prompted them to make an offer for him, which his team rejected.
Trent has been strongly linked with a move to the Champions League winners in the past year, and the Spanish giants are ready to pay a transfer fee to get him during the current transfer window. However, Arne Slot’s side rejected Real’s initial approach, but Owen thinks that Trent will become a Real Madrid player, either in January or as a free agent after the end of the season.
“Los Blancos have made an offer to the Reds to buy Alexander Arnold, and that’s why I think it’s only a matter of time before he joins Real Madrid,” shared Owen on social media.
