Florida is within a victory of a Stanley Cup triumph.

After their leaders, who got them this far in the postseason, the Florida Panthers are 1 victory away from winning the Stanley Cup.

Captain Aleksander Barkov set up a goal and notched another, Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 32 shots, and Florida held on to defeat the Edmonton Oilers 4-3 at Rogers Place in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals.

Panthers can lift their 1st Stanley Cup in organizations history as soon as Game 4 at the beginning of the weekend in Canada.

“We understand that it is going to be one of the toughest matches, without a doubt,” Barkov revealed. “We appreciate everything. We focus only on the next game. Whether it’s 1 period, 1 shift, we take it 1 at a time. That is how we have been successful all season.”

To win the Stanley Cup, Edmonton will need to return from a 3-0 series deficit – done just 4 times in the league postseason history – and 1 time in the final all the way back in 1942.

The last campaign that the Canadian franchise lifted the Stanley Cup was Montreal in 1993, months before the Panthers’ inaugural campaign.
