Panthers eliminate Bruins with late match-winner in Game 6

Florida won the series 4-2 and advanced to the Eastern Conference final.

Gustav Forsling notched the tiebreaking goal on a rebound with less than 2 minutes on the clock, and Sergei Bobrovsky made 22 saves as the Florida Panthers defeated Boston Bruins 2-1 at TD Garden in Boston, MA, and triumphed in their 2nd-round postseason matchup in 6 matches.

Florida clinched the Eastern Conference finals, where they will play against the NY Rangers. Game 1 is on Wednesday in the Big Apple.

Anton Lundell notched for Florida and also set up the match-winner when his shot was deflected, and Gustav beat Jeremy to score. The Panthers, who eliminated Boston out of the postseason after their record-setting regular campaign in the past year, triumphed in all 3 matches at TD Garden.

Swayman made 26 saves for Boston. Pavel Zacha notched to give the Bruins the lead near the end of the 1st period, but the Bruins failed to score again until the end.

Boston captain  Brad Marchand returned after missing 2 matches with a problem but didn’t help his team to avoid elimination.
