Aleksander Barkov also notched for the Panthers in the 2nd period to tie the game as Joshua Mahura gave the assist. Goalie Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 37 shots.
Jalen Chatfield scored early in the 1st period to give Hurricanes the lead, but his franchise blew it and lost 2nd straight match at home. The goaltender made 24 saves.
