The Rossoneri could be bought by a Middle East investment group

According to Andrea Longoni, who is very close to AC Milan, Paolo Maldini could return to the club sooner than expected and even become the president.

This will happen if the Arabian investment group manages to buy majority stake at the club. The rumors are that the Saudi Arabian PIF (Private Investment Fund) and Investcorp from Qatar are interested in buying the Rossoneri. Last week there was a meeting in Milano with Leonardo as well. The Brazilian has an important role that could also bring him back as a director.

Obviously, Cardinale has to be tempted with an offer he can’t turn down and everything depends on that. There is a great determination and the investors don’t want to wait long. If the deal goes through, Frederic Massara will also return in Milan.

Both Maldini and Massara were fired at the end of last season, because of difference of opinion between them and team owner Gerry Cardinale. Now, the American businessman is looking for investments from the Middle East in order to repay the loan to Elliot that the needed to buy the club in 2022, but it looks like this investment hunt could turn out to be a sale altogether.
