New England Patriots got OT Tyrone Wheatley Jr. from the Cleveland Browns in a trade for RB Pierre Strong Jr. today.
Tyrone, the son of ex-Michigan standout and NFL RB Tyrone Wheatley, will potentially solve the Pats’ greatest need for the upcoming campaign. Injuries and not great performances during the training camp and the preseason from the offensive line have been a huge issue for the organization, and the new offensive tackle will be crucial to see improvements.

Browns had 4 players ahead of him at the position, meaning that he probably would not be part of the squad; with no pledge, he would clear waivers to be back of the practice roster. Wheatley Jr. hasn’t played a regular-campaign NFL match yet.
Cleveland needed a 3rd RB behind Nick Chubb and Jerome Ford, and the newly acquired player from the Patriots will solve this problem as the depth is guaranteed at that position before the beginning of the new season.
