The 38-year-old doesn't expect next season to be his last in NBA

Chris Paul is training with his new teammates in Golden State in Atlanta before leaving for Las Vegas, where Warriors will participate in the NBA Summer League.

The 38-year-old veteran said he doesn’t expect this to be his last season as a player in the NBA and still enjoys the game as much as he did when he was a kid.

“I don’t want it to sound weird, but this is basketball. We’re not talking about brain surgery. I’m joining guys who have been playing together for a long time. I’ve been fortunate enough to play on three US national teams. We’re talking about high basketball-IQ people. Nobody has all the answers right now. I’m sure there’s going to be more things for me to learn and some for them to learn about me, but it’s like that in every team,” the guard added.

A curious fact about Paul’s career is that he scored more points against Golden State than anyone else – 1,172. No active player in the league has played more games or had more assists against the Warriors than Chris Paul, and LeBron James and James Harden are the only active players with more points against Golden State.

He revealed that even his family can’t believe he will now be playing for the Warriors. “The situation is what it is. Sport. I have the opportunity to play basketball every day and say this is my way of life. If I didn’t love basketball, I wouldn’t be spending so much time training and away from my family. That hasn’t changed,” said Paul.
