After agreeing to fight in the main event at the UFC 303 at the last possible moment to save it, light heavyweight champ Alex Pereira has a date in mind for his return and plans to defend his light heavyweight championship in his next bout, but he is still aiming at challenging Jon Jones for the undisputed heavyweight title soon.
Alex talked about his plan on his YouTube channel after his 2nd-round victory against Jiří Procházka in the main event of UFC 303 at the end of the past month. Given the fact that Pereira fought twice in less than 90 days, Alex revealed he will take some time off to recover but thinks to be back before the end of the year.
“I want to rest a little,” Alex claimed, admitting that he is nursing 2 broken toes. “But I believe in the last month of the year It would be a good date for me to be on the octagon again.”
