The NFL franchise from Philadelphia is giving safety Terrell Edmunds + 2 draft selections – 2024 5th and 6th round picks – to Tennessee.
The exchange means that Byard will return home as the safety was born in Philly and has shared that ex-Eagles great Brian Dawkins is 1 of his heroes.
Kevin will rejoin ex-Tennessee teammate A.J. Brown, the lead WR whom Philadelphia acquired from Tennessee during the 2022 NFL Draft.
This season, the biggest problem in the Eagles is the safety position, as many players who can play in that position are injured. Reed Blankenship missed Philadelphia’s win against the Miami Dolphins during the weekend with a rib problem, while Justin Evans is on the IR with a knee problem.
Philadelphia trusted rookie 3rd round selection Sydney Brown against Miami, and he did well, but he needs more time to develop.
