Oscar Piastri overcame his teammate shortly after the official start of the race, and that was enough for him to keep the 1st place and win the Belgium GP.
Oscar triumphed at SPA with a 3.41-second advantage ahead of Lando Norris, as the tire advantage of Lando in the final laps didn’t allow him to fight for the lead.

The victory, the 6th of the campaign and 8th of his career, extended Oscar’s championship lead to 16 points and denied Lando, who had started from the 1st position, a 3rd consecutive triumph.
“I understand that Lap 1 would be my best opportunity of taking the lead,” shared Piastri.
Charles Leclerc secured the last place on the podium for Ferrari as he finished ahead of Max Verstappen, who was 4th. George Russell finished 5th as he was almost 35 seconds behind the winner.
Heavy rain was the cause of the race being delayed for over an hour as the start was behind a safety car for 4 laps.
Max was the last one to triumph at the Belgium GP from pole, as the Dutch did in 2021.
