Alpine driver blocked Carlos Sainz and Lewis Verstappen during the qualifying

Pierre Gasly will start Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix from 10th place as he was given 6-place grid penalty from the stewards after today’s qualifying session.

The Alpine driver finished 4th, but during Q1 he blocked Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz flying lap and later on in the session did the same to Max Verstappen.

The French driver received three-place penalties for each situation and therefore will set off between Oscar Piastri in 9th and Sergio Perez in 11th.
