Pittsburgh Steelers’ defense should look a lot better with the return of Minkah Fitzpatrick for their wild-card match against Buffalo on Sunday.
“I believe it’s fantastic anytime you get 1 of your best players back in the team,” Pittsburgh defensive coordinator Teryl Austin shared. “Minkah is a major communicator back there and does many things for us, so I’m really happy to have him back.”
The safety, who admitted that he is feeling alright today, trained fully yesterday for the 1st time since sustaining a knee problem in Week 15. Safety Damontae Kazee will also return after being suspended for 3 matches for repeated violations of player safety rules. It’s fantastic news for the organization’s defense that will be without superstar T.J. Watt.
“We are sad that T.J.’s not out there with us, but we still must do what we need to do, and having most of our pieces back is huge for our franchise,” Minkah shared with the media today.
