Gary Neville has expressed his skepticism towards the Saudi Arabia’s transfer moves and says they can be detrimental to the competition in the sport.
Many high-profile stars, like Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante have joined the Saudi Pro League, raising suspicion about their credibility.
Neville, however, is among those, who firmly believe that the transfers should stop if soccer as sport wants to protect its integrity.

“The Premier League should put an instant embargo on transfers to Saudi Arabia to ensure the integrity of the game isn’t being damaged,” he said.
“Checks should be made on the appropriateness of the transactions.
“If it comes through that process, obviously transfers could open up again. But I do believe, at this moment in time, transfers should be halted until you look into the ownership structure at Chelsea and whether there are beneficial transfer dealings that are improper.”
