Footballers miffed over the surface at the Acrisure Stadium.

Footballers from both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns revealed their “outrage” and concerns to the league about the “embarrassing” surface at Acrisure Stadium a few days ago.

“The NFLPA has shared its concern with the National Football League and will do everything possible to ensure that footballers are not put in that situation in the future,” the union shared today.

Some footballers claimed the field was already scheduled to be re-sodded after the match. Pittsburgh OL Broderick Jones was 1 of multiple footballers who expressed their disappointment about kicking up chunks of grass when they tried to move explosively.

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy revealed today that the league has been in contact with both the union and the organization, which has already moved forward with replacing the grass surface.

“In my opinion, it was very bad yesterday,” the Steelers boss, Mike Tomlin, shared at the beginning of the week about the playing conditions at the Acrisure Stadium. “I’m not concerned about the next matches here. I know that they will change the surface, but it was very poor for our match against the Browns.”
